Day one
... 4:00 a.m., everything that happened at the Black Circus Party is sorted out, but now we go home and pack our bags, because we have to be at Düsseldorf Airport at 10:30 a.m., and sleeping is overrated, right?
... 1.50 p.m. a little late but we take off, just over 11 hours of flight ahead of us, well we don't have to fly ourselves, so can we sleep or not? Well Sebastian doesn't, there's still a video that needs to be edited and I'll stay awake out of solidarity, there's also something to eat

... 4:20 p.m. Los Angeles time, we landed, and contrary to what you might think in America, everything happens very quickly. Just 30 minutes from the plane to the baggage carousel and through all customs controls. We just don't look suspicious. But then there's the shuttle service to the car rental, the initial joy is almost gone, after what feels like an eternity the shuttle bus finally arrives and takes us to SIXT. No no, not a luxury holiday, but an offer from Airberlin after booking the flights. Then we're excited to see what we get, we rented a vehicle in the Ford Mustang convertible class. But the enthusiasm quickly returned and it turned out to be an almost new, black Camaro RS convertible. In Germany you would say full equipment.

Then we want to test the part extensively. Our destination for today is McDonald's in “Ventura” and finding a hotel for the first night, then checking and sorting the equipment.

McDonald's
Motel 6 right next to McDonald's, that can only be a good thing. And yes it's good too, big comfortable beds, everything is clean, what more could you want? Which is only $86 for 2 people, we'll take!

Day two
Waking up perfectly fit at 5 a.m. doesn't happen to me at home either. A sunrise shoot will probably be child's play. Ok, maybe it's due to the time difference of 9 hours compared to Germany. But when we're both awake, we get up and go for a ride on the longboard, that's why we took the things with us.
Morning exercise
After breakfast, freshen up a bit and then it's time to pack our things, we still want to see a lot. The goal for today is to take “Route 1” to Monterey and see what there is to photograph.

CHASE PALM PARK
It's impressive to drive along the west coast and see the sea on the left and the mountains and wide roads on the right that you only know from movies but can never really imagine.
You feel freedom and can suddenly imagine becoming a trucker here, that's something different than a truck driver in Germany.
But not everything is allowed here, as you can see, but with the beautiful weather and friendly people it almost doesn't matter.
“You don’t get homesick here…”
At around 7 p.m. we reached our destination “Monterey”. A good 350 miles are behind us today and we now have to look for a hotel and sort the pictures and then there are a few tasks from Germany that are waiting for us.
