A new trip to Asia was coming up and this time everything was going to be different, I wanted to let the puppets dance, because with European money you can experience a lot in Asia.
What kind of plans I didn't have, I can't write them all here. But what I got was worth so much more. But let's start at the beginning.
October 31, 2023 my plane leaves from Amsterdam via Hong Kong to Thailand and this time I wasn't alone because my long-time friend and photo partner Sebatzpictures was already there. So this time it was time to enjoy Bangkok for a few days and go on a photo tour. It feels like all the pictures I use of myself for my business are from him, whether in Mallorca or America, so why not from Asia too. No sooner said than done, here is a result.
After the short stay in Bangkok I continued on my own and what can I say, I stopped where I left off last winter. For the first month I booked a nice apartment in Pattaya through Airbnb to get settled in and to do a few online tasks that are always left behind in the summer.
I already know the city very well from last year and immediately found my way around and felt comfortable. And what can I say, I even went out to the clubs alone. Although that's not entirely true, it was just a club. Insomnia with a Billiard Bar (iBar) downstairs. For the perfect mix, great entertainment downstairs and the hottest music upstairs, so far only Illusion in Phuket has been better. The great thing about Pattaya is that you can go out and find entertainment if you want without having to make the first move yourself.
Somehow, however, the right person was never there to arrange further dates. A girl from the Billiard Bar always caught my attention with her sweet smile and her manner. And what do you think, did I speak to her? No, you know when you feel like today isn't the right time for it. Anyway, a month went by without any contact with her other than eye contact and smiling when we met. My plan was to go to Bangkok on December 2nd because my bro was coming. But this time it wasn't to be like that as he had work to do. So I changed my plan to stay in Pattaya for another 2-3 weeks and then fly to Bali.
My goal for tonight is to definitely talk to her. I'll keep it short, no, I didn't speak to her again, although half of it. I gave her my WhatsApp number and said "I would be happy if you get in touch." She accepted the note with a smile and what can I say, she didn't answer. That was the end of the matter for me, I just went upstairs to Insomnia and had fun and good music.
At the beginning of December I had to move within Pattaya. My new apartment for three weeks was in “the BASE”, a high-rise building in the middle of the city with a rooftop pool and a view of the sea.
You also treat yourself to something sometimes. The booking there was definitely good, because on the first day I met someone who was there alone from Germany and we went out together. It's also a lot more fun and the three weeks flew by. For me it was time to get ready for Bali. I wanted to spend New Year's Eve in Bali to see something different.
The first thing on my agenda was a photo shoot on the beach. Mariana, that was the name of the model who wrote to me via Instagram, picked me up from my accommodation on her scooter. What could be better than a model who knows the local area and can drive you there? I'll show you a few results here. After the shoot we went to dinner and, as I am, I invited Mariana. Overall a great day and we met up again and went for a drink. My impression of Bali this year was rather modest, maybe I'll have to try again somewhere else next winter.
Back in Pattaya, my new German friend from the base is waiting for me and we still had a few days to party. But something had changed for him because his girlfriend from the first evening was still with him and it seemed as if it should stay that way. Does that really exist in Pattaya, can you find love there and then from a club? Well, what can I say, I looked into it because there was this nice girl who took my number but never got in touch.
So off to the iBar and see where it is. But that evening she wasn't there, just 2 of her friends. I didn't have much time because I was supposed to continue on January 17th and have a few exciting weeks to follow. But more on that in my next post. And I will also answer the question of who the still unknown girl is.
